Given the reasons for this blog (see About Us) we’ve decided that we would like to keep a record of some of the things that defines us as a family. We do write about these things, but haven’t, as yet, fully outlined what we believe and why we believe it. This has brought us to a decision to have separate pages detailing our beliefs about fundamental aspects of our lives. This will account for our “testimony” pages (coming soon) and this page, explaining why we homeschool.
Because the reasons are many and we keep adding posts that outline our thinking, this page will eventually summarise our main ideas as well as contain links to our “Why We Homeschool” (WWH) posts.
Please read our DISCLAIMER before reading further as we feel that it is important to know that our decision for our own family does not mean that we feel that public-schooling is wrong.
Because this page is currently under construction, our summary will only appear at a later stage. In the meantime, we will continue to add links to our WWH posts below.

20 freedoms homeschooling allows us
If you are feeling rather critical of the homeschooling movement, for whatever reason, perhaps this next link is worth reading; at least to be able to understand the alienation homeschooling families often feel when the majority of their peers have chosen a different path. This post reflects some of our (and particularly my) innermost struggles with the prejudice we’ve experienced in the little time that we’ve walked this path.
